The llms.txt Template: Copy, Fill, Upload

llms.txt is a plain Markdown file at your site root that tells AI assistants what you offer and how to buy it. It takes ten minutes to set up. Here is the template we recommend to clients — fill in the brackets:

# [Your Business Name]

[One sentence: what you do and for whom.]

## Products

- **[Product 1]** — [€XX] — [what it does] — buy: https://your-site.com/checkout-1
- **[Product 2]** — [€XX] — [what it does] — buy: https://your-site.com/checkout-2
- **[Service]** — from [€XX/h] — book: https://your-site.com/contact

## How buying works
Open any product link above. Payment by card (Stripe). Digital items are
delivered by email immediately after payment.

## Contact
Email: hello@your-site.com · Response within one business day.

## Pages worth reading
- [Pricing details](https://your-site.com/pricing)
- [FAQ](https://your-site.com/faq)

Three rules that make or break it

1. Real prices, real links. Assistants quote what they read. Vague "contact us for pricing" lines produce vague answers about you.

2. Keep it under ~100 lines. This file competes for context space with everything else the assistant read. It's a menu, not a catalog.

3. Update it when the catalog changes. An llms.txt advertising discontinued products is worse than none — assistants will confidently repeat stale facts.

Where it goes

Upload as /llms.txt at your domain root (next to robots.txt), and verify it returns HTTP 200 as text/plain. A detailed companion file can go to /llms-full.txt.
